Greetings from Colorado!

We sincerely hope 2010 has been a good year for you, and our hearts and prayers go out to everyone affected by the recession.

Both of us continue to happily work for Avaya and in real estate.  Jeff has recently moved to a new position (no money -but a great opportunity), but Avaya continures to struggle a bit.  So once again, he took 2 wees off without pay.  What a great opportunity to do extra work around the house!  We did a lot of yard clean up this year, and the war of the deer and bunnies vs our yard goes on.  We tried a vegetable garden this year; quite fortified against the deer and bunnies, but then the mice got the better of us.  Ended up with a few fresh goodies however.  We did a lot of internal house work also; wiring, insulation and such.

I worked five jobs this year-Real Estate, Kohls, volunteer for Alzheimers, volunteer for our neighborhood architectural control committee and Pampered Chef.  And of course, back up emergency contact for mom.  So, by the way, she is doing very poorly.  We believe her Parkinsons is the main culprit-and she is in the advanced stages.  By the end of the year, we will have avereaged about 3  ER visits a month.  This is stressful for the entire family.  The flilp side-the ER guys are very good looking.

Katie is still with us, the job market is poor.  she is working 35-40 hours a week though.  Has a steady boyfriend, Chris.  They are getting an apartment together the end of January.

Matt and Maegan are doing well.  They got a puppy this spring, and we ALL enjoy her.  Even Abby.  Well, maybe Abby tolerates, rather than enjoys.  Her name is Kona, and she is 3/4 miniature min pin, and the rest dachshund.  She is very cute, full of energy and spunk (check out her picture to the left).

Our goal for 2011 is to stay in touch more with our friends and family.  And we are grateful for all your emails that keep up up to date on your lives (Not good facebook fans, we spend too much time on our pc's as it is...)

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
